Kiss Daniel’s Mama hits the number one spot, and his other 2016 hit Jombo is the 3rd most searched song of 2016. The only other artist with 2 songs on the list is Olamide with Who You Epp at number 4, and Abule Sowo at number 10.
Falz, P-Square, Wizkid, and Adekunle Gold also make claim to google fame at numbers 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively.
Although by many accounts it’s been a relatively dull year for Nigerian music, there has been a sizable amount of hit records this year, and plenty of music to rock to going into 2017.

Korede Bello calls his teaming fans ‘Bellovers‘, while Reekado Banks calls them ‘Reekadicts‘ and if industry trends is anything to go by, these names might be setting the foundation for their own record label names.
