How to add "Join This Site" Widget for Blogger

 Hello dear friends!

You might have seen “join this site” button on many blogs especially on blogger platform. Below the button, some pictures can be seen easily. They are the members of the particular blog. This is called “Follower” gadget offered by blogger.
By enabling this widget, you can give the option to the readers to be connected with your blog. The members will get the information of your latest blog posts after joining the site through this widget.

One of my fellow bloggers was unable to get this widget in the gadget list (default list of blogger)! It was not the fault of his, because the gadget is available with different name instead of “join this site” or “Google Friend Connect”. The veteran bloggers know about it but, newbies find difficulty in adding!

If you are one of them, then, the following tutorial will help you to add the desired widget to your blog,

Tutorial:

1. Go to blogger dashboard.

2. Click on Layout > Add a Gadget.

 3. Explore More Gadget > Followers.

 4. The configure followers list window will be opened.

 5. Remove the default "Title" name and check the box saying “use template default styles”.

6. Hit the Save button and you are done.

Note: you can customize it with colors and hex values through the given options in the gadget.

7. View blog and be happy because it is there!
